Picture the excitement of a child on their first canoe experience. We're going to help the Bronx River Alliance provide opportunities for over 1,000 youth and their families to connect with nature on canoes this season! On May 19th, the Alliance will celebrate the beginning of the paddling season with the Amazing Bronx River Flotilla: 5-mile Paddle for the River. Did you know that the Bronx River is the only freshwater in NYC? And it’s making headlines for a river coming back to life. Each year, the Alliance’s programs helps thousands of New Yorkers explore the river on canoes, bikes and on foot. With your help, more youth will be able to discover the Bronx River and learn how they can protect this precious resource.

You can also join this event by cheering the participants at the finish line in Hunts Point Riverside Park and participating in the public celebration starting at noon.
